BioBlaster | Odor Removal
Foul smells are more than unpleasant and embarrassing. Many are health hazards with a long list of harmful effects to humans and animals. Bacteria is the source for most of the pungent, bad smells we experience. Bacteria produce odiferous compounds such as ammonia and microbial volatile organic compounds known as MVOCs. The OxyGreen Solutions System destroys bacteria by attacking it on a cellular level. Cat urine is a great example. What’s going on here and just why is it so bad? Bacteria. The bacteria feed on the urea and produce ammonia. There are also very strong sulfur-based pheromones in the urine. How do we fix this? First, we use our machines to kill the bacteria on the surfaces and in the air. This treatment will also neutralize the ammonia and sulfur leaving behind nitrogen, water, oxygen, and carbon dioxide. At this point, the smell will be dramatically better and may even seem resolved. However, the next step must be taken to locate the urine spots and treat them using the same science applied in a way to penetrate porous surfaces that have absorbed the urine. Assuming all the urine spots were successfully located, the odor problem will be solved. Depending on the scope of the problem, remediation might be necessary. Ammonia exposure has a long list of health hazards. Everything from respiratory issues to central nervous system and brain damage. So, next time you joke about that "Crazy cat lady"…remember... it just might be the ammonia that made her that way. Mold Smells: Our system destroys mold, mold spores and mold roots. It also destroys the MVOC Mycotoxin which is described as the musty smell associated with mold and mildew. MVOCs are microbial volatile organic compounds and are released as a gas during the mold’s reproduction and growth stages. We all know that mold spores cause respiratory problems. Mycotoxin exposure can cause acute poisoning, immune deficiency, and cancer. The same concepts described above apply to smoke as well. The OxyGreen Solutions System breaks apart the smoke and tar molecules into carbon dioxide, water and oxygen. Depending on the extent of the damage, remediation might be necessary. This covers the basics and majority of smells that need to go away. If you have a unique or more complex problem, send a message or give us a call and we will tell you what we can do to fix it.
